This therapy is also known as Chi Kung : Qigong practices can be classified as martial breathing techniques and meditation and is practised for health maintenance healing and increasing vitality. The word Qigong is made up of 2 words – Qi or Chi (pronounced “chee”) is usually translated to mean the life force or vital energy that flows through all things in the universe. Gong or Kung (pronounced “gung”) means accomplishment or skill that is cultivated through steady practice. Together Qigong (Chi Kung) means culvitaving energy. The gentle rhythmic movements of Qigong can : reduce stress : build stamina : increase vitality : enhance the immune system : improve cardiovalcular respiratory cicculatory lymphatic and digestive functions.”
